Is the jacket re-useable?

Yes, the jacket or gilet is reusable. Only the C02 cartridge needs to be replaced and the key ball re-inserted into the activation mechanism. However, you will need to check the jacket thoroughly after each inflation.  

Can the C02 cartridges be refilled?
No, they can only be used once, then need to be replaced.

How is the airbag activated?

The airbag is activated automatically when the horse or  motorcycle and rider are parted.

Can I wear the jacket or gilet underneath other clothing?

UPDATE - the jacket or gilet is designed primarily as outer wear but can be worn under loose fitted clothing as long as there is enough room to allow the airbags enough space to open and provide maximum protection.

How much does the jacket or gilet weigh?
Approximately 1.5kg

What parts of the body does the jacket or gilet protect?
The neck, the ribs, and the coccyx and spine.

Question from Holly Richmond - Are the jackets approved by British Eventing?
UPDATE - A new jacket is currently being developed for the purpose of eventing.  Currently some riders are wearing the point-two jacket over BETA approved apparel  - but there is no BETA approved apparel which offers the level of protection to the neck area that the point-two airbag jacket does.

The point Two Equine Jacket offers additional protection, but it is recommended to be worn with traditional protective riding wear such as the EM13158 body protector.
