FAQ’s

Q: Are the Point Two Air Jacket reusable?

A: Yes, the Point Two Air Jackets are reusable. You only need to replace the CO2 canister each time the jacket is inflated & reset the activation key into the trigger mechanism (as shown in user manual). You must remember to check your jacket carefully for damage after any accident or inflation.

Q:  Can the CO2 canister be reused?

A: No, each CO2 canister can only be used once; then it must be replaced.

Q: What parts of my body are protected by the Point Two Air Jacket?

A:  The Point Two Air Jacket offers virtually instant coverage of rib cage, all major thoracic and upper abdominal organs, coccyx, plus the collar of the neck. The Air Jacket also gives fantastic impact absorption and can take up to a ton of pressure on inflation.

Q: Can I wear my Air Jacket underneath other clothing?

A: The Point Two Air Jackets have been designed primarily as outerwear. For safety, we would not recommend that you put anything over the top of your Air Jacket. You could however, wear a very loose fitting High Viz vest over the top, as long as there is enough space for the Air Jacket to inflate unhindered beneath. This will not compromise the jacket inflation mechanism.

Q: How is the Motorbike Air Jacket activated?

A: The lanyard attaches to the Motorbike; on mounting the other end is clipped to the Air Jacket. In the event that the rider becomes separated from the bike, the rider’s body weight causes the lanyard to pull the activation key mechanism within the jacket. Once pulled, this releases the CO2 from the canister into the jackets air bag system. The jacket gives near instant inflation within 0.25 of a second. It is the fastest Air Jacket on the market in the World today.

Q: Will I set the Air Jacket off by mistake?

A: The Point Two Air Jackets don’t inflate without a lot of pressure. They require a minimum of six stone in weight to activate the inflation mechanism. In normal practice, if you failed to unclip your jacket before dismounting, you would normally feel the slight pull of the lanyard connection when getting off to remind you to unclip your jacket.  Please be aware, if enough pressure is applied to the lanyard whilst clipped to the jacket, you could, by accident set off the inflation mechanism.

Q: How much does the EU Motorbike Air Jacket weigh?

A: Approximately 3.5 kg

Q: Does the Air Jacket need to be serviced?

A: Point Two recommend that you return your Air Jacket for service once every 12 months. We also advise that you return your Air Jacket to us for checking after impact with the ground.
